MM WOVENS

MM WOVENS, founded by Maureen Meyer, an LA-based designer/artist/weaver. As an artist, she exclusively employs vintage paper to craft her mixed media collages, drawing inspiration from her personal repertoire of geometric forms and grids honed through years of design experience. Maureen seeks to capture the balance between precision and wabi-sabi, incorporating inlaid messages into outward forms. She considers each piece as a whole, encompassing the forgotten messages within each paper fragment and the dynamic relationships that emerge when they coalesce. Through a collaboration with Art + Loom, Maureen had the opportunity to translate her artwork into a meticulously crafted hand-woven rug. The result is a stunning piece that showcases soothing colors and unconventional forms.
